Social Bartering with Favabank...

Favabank Community Bartering Favabank is modernising the age old idea of barter, exchanging items and time as favours between members of your community. Connect with people in your neighbourhood via the exchange of favours.

Bartering Favours Next time you need a helping hand or need to borrow something, why not try to source it from your local community?

Barter and Recycle Your Unwanted Stuff All barter exchanges are tracked using a virtual currency called a 'Fava', to create a 'gift economy' where the more you have given, the more likely that people will want to reciprocate. The Fava is the foundation for 'pay it forward' economics.

Good to see Favabank in today's Staines Informer

Posted by John Durrant on Thursday 1st December 2011, 4:56PM

Good to see Favabank featured in today's Staines Informer (page 14).

The aim is shortly begin encourage people in Staines / Egham / Windsor and surrounding areas to join in and think about what skills, items or resources they might like to enjoy bartering.

We're not quite ready to officially launch but are welcoming people who would like to sign up before the official launch and share any thoughts & suggestions they may have. Hopefully we can create a culture of friendly bartering and sharing in Surrey...

Hi John,

I've just signed up. Looks like an interesting idea. And thanks for booking on for my networking event. I look forward to seeing you there.
Have you managed to sort out your Facebook questions yet?

Kind Regards

David

Thanks for signing up, I look forward to meeting you too. I've not solved the facebook problems yet, but the Dummies guide I bought looks quite useful - just need to find the time to read through it...
