Setting up a Group
After Favabank's official launch users will be able to set-up and join private and semi-private groups. Prior to launch the only group available is the Favabank Launch Group.
What groups will be suitable on Favabank after the launch?
Favabank members will be able to form groups to cover areas of special interest. These groups can be used for social purposes as well as for trading favours in a private setting.
Groups will be particularly appropriate where members are likely to already know one another and where trust between members is particularly important e.g. 'Baby Sitting Circles'.
Other groups might cover hobbies or perhaps an organisation such a club, charity or volunteer group or the company you work for.
A group will be able to declare itself as 'open' or 'closed' to determine whether the content within the group can be seen by everyone or solely by the group members. Groups will also be able to decide whether they have their own currency system for transactions or whether trades between members will take place using Favas and therefore viewable by others according to a user's 'Privacy Settings'.

Favabank Launch Group:
The only group currently on Favabank is the 'Favabank Launch Group'. The Groups feature will be made generally available following the official launch of Favabank.
Any Favabank member may join the 'Launch Group' whose purpose is to discuss ideas, suggestions, issues and challenges related to the launch of Favabank. It is for those who are participating directly in the launch process, as well as those who are interested in making an occasional contribution or just would like to observe the points being discussed.
Favabank aims to be an open organisation where information flows efficiently amongst all stake-holders including members, administrators and managers. There will be some situations, either for strategic or privacy reasons where certain information might need to be withheld, but the hope is the vast majority of discussions about the Favabank project will be open and inclusive.
